Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced that the state government will open 10 centres to provide free training to youngsters for competitive exams of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The initiative aims to ensure that the youth of the state get opportunities to sit in high offices as IPS and IAS officers and make decisions. The announcement was made during the launch of the ‘CM di Yogshala’ program with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. This citizen-centric project will act as a stepping stone for carving out a healthy, vibrant, prosperous, and progressive Punjab, according to Mr. Mann. The toll-free number 7669 400 500 is available for people to call for free yoga training as part of the initiative.
It’s great to hear that the Punjab government is taking steps to promote health and fitness among its citizens. The toll-free number for free yoga training is a commendable initiative that will enable more people to avail themselves of the benefits of yoga. Additionally, the government’s focus on promoting sports will not only help to improve physical fitness but also provide an avenue for the youth to channel their energy in a positive direction. These initiatives can have a far-reaching impact on the overall well-being of the people of Punjab.
Delhi CM Kejriwal made a statement regarding the compensation for crop loss due to inclement weather in Punjab, saying that for the first time, affected growers in Punjab will be given a compensation of ₹15,000 per acre. He also mentioned that in previous regimes, when crops got damaged, only announcements of compensation were made and farmers used to complain of not receiving the cheques of compensation.
