Tamil Nadu BJP state unit has sought an inquiry into Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan’s purported remarks about the assets of the DMK’s ‘first family’ in an audio clip, which PTR claimed was “fabricated.” The BJP state unit chief, K Annamalai, said that he would seek an “independent forensic audit” of the tape. The article states that the minister had dismissed the audio clip as “fabricated” and that he had described it as “malicious, fabricated.”
Since the minister “is resting on an argument that this audio is fabricated, we challenge him to produce an audio clip with similar content but instead in my voice,” Mr Annamalai said.”We shall submit both audio samples to a court-monitored investigation and let the investigating agency ascertain the genuine nature of both audio clips,” he insisted. The BJP leader said he would submit his voice sample and expected PTR to do the same.
It seems that the BJP leader K Annamalai is challenging Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan to produce an audio clip with similar content but in his voice. He also proposed that both audio samples be submitted to a court-monitored investigation to determine their genuine nature. The BJP leader has said that he would submit his voice sample and expects the minister to do the same. This is in response to the minister’s dismissal of an audio clip in which he is claimed to have made comments about the alleged assets of Chief Minister M K Stalin’s son and Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and son-in-law V Sabareesan, which the minister has claimed is fabricated.
The controversy arose when an audio clip surfaced on social media, allegedly featuring Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan discussing the alleged assets of Chief Minister M K Stalin’s son and son-in-law. However, Mr. Rajan has denied the authenticity of the clip and claimed it was fabricated. The BJP’s state unit in Tamil Nadu has called for an independent forensic audit of the tape to ascertain the genuine nature of both audio clips. The BJP leader K Annamalai challenged Mr. Rajan to produce an audio clip with similar content but in his voice, which they will submit for a court-monitored investigation. The BJP has also sought an inquiry into the matter, and the Governor of Tamil Nadu has been approached for the same.
