Telangana’s ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) demonstrators across the state against the hike in price of cooking gas continued for the alternate successive day on Friday. Ministers, MPs, state lawmakers and BRS leaders led the kick at colorful places. On a call given by BRS working chairman KT Rama Rao, demurrers were organised in headquarters of all Assembly constituencies. Carrying bills and raising taglines against the BJP-led government, the protestors either offered sit-in or took out rallies.
They also cooked food on wood as a mark of kick. The ruling party held a massive kick near Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund in Hyderabad. State Home minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali shared in the kick organised by original MLA Danam Nagender. Large number of women with empty cylinders shared in the kick, demanding the Centre to roll-back the hike. Transport Minister P. Ajay Kumar led a huge kick in Khammam. He slammed the Modi government at the Centre for further burdening the common man with another hike in LPG price. Home Minister Mahmood Ali shared in a dharna organised at Khairatabad by MLA Danam Nagender.
The Telangana Home Minister contended that the people of the country were suffering a lot due to the crooked programs of the Union government. In Nalgonda, State Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy contended that Modi has eased his close musketeers to steal money saved by the people. “The utmost of these belong to Telangana,” the minister said. Thousands of women, led by Nalgonda MLA Kancharla Bhupal Reddy offered a kick with empty LPG cylinders at Nalgonda quarter headquarter on Friday, against the hike in cooking gas prices by the Union government. Addressing the protesters the MLA said that Rs 19 lakh crore of public money has been pillaged by Adani and Ambani so far under Modi’s watch. He said that the people would flash back Modi always as an LPG cylinder refill used to bring Rs 350 on the day he was tagged Prime Minister and it’s now 1,200 moments.
