The University of Delhi is set to begin the admission process for undergraduate programs through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) by the end of May. A senior official from the university has stated that the admissions process will launch through two separate portals for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The university is hoping that the admission process will be smoother this year. Students looking to enroll in DU will have to appear for CUET(UG)-2023 and CUET (PG)-2023 and register on the CSAS UG and PG portals of the DU.
Last year, the university conducted the admission process through CUET for the first time, and this year it will conduct PG admission for the first time as well. The official stated that the university is confident that this year’s admission process will be smoother than last year’s. The maximum number of applications for CUET(UG) has been received by Delhi University, followed by Banaras Hindu University, Allahabad University, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, and Jamia Millia Islamia.
CUET is scheduled to be conducted from May 21-31, and the university is hopeful that the admission process will be smoother than last year, with the admission process being done through CSAS (UG) 2023 and CSAS (PG) 2023. The university is also optimistic about filling all the 70,000 seats in the current academic session, which it failed to do last year, as seven percent of the seats across all its colleges remained vacant.
The CBSE on Friday declared the Class 12 results, with 87.33 percent of students clearing the exam. The university is fully prepared to take admissions to UG and PG programs through CUET, the official added. The admission process will be conducted through two separate portals for admissions to graduate and postgraduate programs.
The official from the university stated that the CUET UG is also starting later this month, and the admission process will most likely begin by the end of the month. The university hopes that this year the admission process would be smoother, and it is fully prepared to take admissions to UG and PG programs through the CUET.
