Laxman Singh, a resident of Kota village located approximately 70 km from Shahdol, shared his harrowing experience, stating that his daughter, Madhuri, had succumbed to sickle cell anemia on Monday night. Despite his plea for assistance, the hospital authorities purportedly informed him that vehicles were only available for destinations within a 15 km radius.
In a state of profound distress, Mr. Singh recounted his ordeal, revealing that he had requested a hearse from the hospital but was informed that it would not be provided for distances exceeding 15 km. Struggling with financial constraints, the anguished father and his family were left with no choice but to transport their daughter’s lifeless body on a motorcycle.
