Former Punjab chief minister and Shiromani Akali Dal patriarch Parkash Singh Badal continues to be in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Mohali. The 95-year-old politician was admitted a week ago after he complained of breathing difficulties. According to a medical bulletin issued on Sunday evening, he continues to be under close observation in the ICU. Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have enquired about his health and prayed for his speedy recovery. Parkash Singh Badal has been the chief minister of Punjab five times and was hospitalised last June as well following complaints related to gastritis and bronchial asthma.
In a bulletin on the veteran leader’s condition on Saturday, the hospital had said, “In view of the criticality of Parkash Singh Badal’s health, he continues to be closely monitored in the medical ICU.” Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have enquired about his health and prayed for his speedy recovery.
It’s good to see that Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have shown concern and prayed for the speedy recovery of Shiromani Akali Dal patriarch Parkash Singh Badal. It indicates that the political leaders are aware of his health condition and are monitoring the situation closely.
In February 2022, he was taken to a private hospital in Mohali for a post-Covid health examination during which he underwent cardiac and pulmonary check-ups.
It seems that the former chief minister has been dealing with various health issues in recent times, including gastritis, bronchial asthma, and post-Covid health concerns. It is not uncommon for people to experience health complications as they age, and it is important for individuals to receive appropriate medical care to manage their conditions.
