The Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra is commencing today on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The state government is making every effort to ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims, including providing the best health services on the Yatra route. Health Secretary Dr. RK Rajesh Kumar is personally overseeing the health services on the route on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. Medical units have been set up at every kilometer on the Kedarnath pilgrimage route, and 130 doctors have been deployed to improve health services in the region. In addition, health ATMs have been installed, and a point-of-care testing device will be available for testing various diseases. The Health Department has also issued guidelines for the Yatra, urging travelers to acclimatize their bodies to the mountain weather and to rest if they experience any difficulties. The government is committed to making the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra completely smooth and safe, and the state is receiving full cooperation from the central government in this regard. “Apart from this, health ATMs have also been installed on the route. Arrangements have been made for better health facilities for the devotees coming for the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra. The state is getting full cooperation from the central government. This time no passenger will face any kind of problem regarding health services,” he said.
It is good to see that the Uttarakhand state government is taking necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims during the Char Dham Yatra. The installation of health ATMs and the deployment of doctors and paramedical staff well-versed in the treatment and diagnosis of heart-related diseases are positive steps in this direction. It is also encouraging to note that the state is getting full cooperation from the central government in this matter. Hopefully, these measures will ensure a safe and smooth journey for all the pilgrims.
