An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale hit Meghalaya’s West Khasi Hills at around 7:47 am on April 24, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The quake’s epicentre was at a depth of 5 km with latitude and longitude of 25.47 and 90.94, respectively. This comes after a magnitude 3.5 earthquake hit Meghalaya’s South Garo Hills on April 23 at 3:33 pm. On April 16, an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hit Manipur’s Bishnupur district. No loss of life or property damage has been reported in any of the quakes.
