The Punjab Police has urged people not to believe rumours and fake news regarding the surrender of radical preacher and pro-Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh. Responding to a media report, the police said in a tweet that the news is fake and factually incorrect and urged people to fact-check news before sharing and not to spread rumours and fake news. His supporters stormed Ajnala police station on February 23 demanding the release of one of his close aides, Lovepreet Toofan.
