The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that COAS Asim Munir laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument in Sialkot Garrison, paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s pride, honor, and dignity. He affirmed that those who lost their lives are promised the highest place in the afterlife and will continue to be held in the utmost respect by the people of Pakistan.
General Munir reiterated that the State of Pakistan and its Armed Forces will always hold the fallen heroes and their families in high esteem, honoring their supreme sacrifices with utmost respect and dignity. He made it clear that the recent tragic incidents that were planned and orchestrated will never be allowed to occur again, underscoring the resolve to bring justice to all those responsible for bringing shame to the nation on the “Black Day of May 9.”
The COAS assured the ranks and files that all individuals accountable for violating the sanctity and security of the nation’s installations or engaging in acts of vandalism on the specified day would be brought to justice. The COAS resolved to bring to justice all planners, abettors, instigators, and executors of the acts of vandalism that occurred on the “Black Day of May 9.”
