Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to hold a high-level security review meeting on Jammu and Kashmir. The Director of the Intelligence Bureau, Tapan Deka, and the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force, SL Thaosen, are expected to be present at the meeting. The meeting is an important platform for the Home Minister to review the security status of Jammu and Kashmir, where militants have targeted civilians and security force personnel over the years, resulting in many deaths. The meeting is also an opportunity for the Home Minister to provide necessary directions to follow the policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and to review the functioning of the security grid in Jammu and Kashmir.
