Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor recently marked the 38th anniversary of the release of his film Yudh, in which he played a double role alongside Jackie Shroff, Tina Munim, and others. Kapoor shared several stills from the film on social media and talked about the special memories associated with it. He said that Yudh was the reason for the term “Jhakaas” being associated with him, a dialogue that remains synonymous with him even today. Kapoor also spoke about how working with the film’s producer Gulshan Rai and his son Rajiv was a pleasure, and that his co-star Tina Munim was fabulous to work with, while Jackie Shroff was always a blast.
Earlier, Anil Kapoor celebrated the 30th anniversary of the release of Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, a film in which he starred alongside Sridevi, his late sister-in-law. The movie was directed by Anil Kapoor’s friend Satish Kaushik, who passed away earlier this year. Despite the film not performing well at the box office, Kapoor said that it was made with heart and that it was a cherished learning experience. He also credited Kaushik for brilliantly shooting the songs and the train robbery scene. Kapoor shared a throwback photo of the film’s team, including himself, Sridevi, Satish Kaushik, Boney Kapoor, and Shekhar Kapur, who was initially set to direct the film.
Anil Kapoor recently won the Filmfare Awards in the Best Supporting Actor (Male) category for his performance in Jug Jugg Jeeyo. The actor expressed his gratitude to the entire team of the film and said that the award was a timeless and iconic achievement.
Kapoor, who made his acting debut in 1979, has had a career spanning over four decades and has witnessed and celebrated several milestones. He will next be seen in the upcoming film Fighter, which is headlined by Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
