Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated on April 15 that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would respond to “all the actions” initiated against him in due time. Kumar’s remarks came in response to journalists’ inquiries about the CBI’s summons to Kejriwal in connection with the excise policy case. Kejriwal has been called to appear at the agency headquarters at 11 AM on April 16 to answer queries of the investigating team as a witness in the case. Kumar met Kejriwal in Delhi on April 13 to forge an alliance of opposition parties against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre before the 2024 general election.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for questioning in connection with an excise policy case. When asked about this development, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that Mr Kejriwal is a well-regarded person who has done a lot of developmental work in his state. He added that Mr Kejriwal will reply to all the actions that have been initiated against him at the appropriate time. Mr Kumar also mentioned that efforts are being made to unite more and more parties in the country against the BJP-led central government.
It seems like the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is trying to form a united front of opposition parties against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been meeting with various opposition leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, to discuss this strategy. During a recent function, he even urged people not to vote for the BJP in the upcoming general elections.
