Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has called on the media to stick to the truth and not make people fight amid an ongoing leadership tussle with his former deputy Sachin Pilot. Gehlot expressed confidence that his government will return to power on the basis of the works done in the last five years, and said that the Congress’ election campaign in the state would focus on the schemes and programmes launched by his government. The state assembly elections in Rajasthan are due later this year, and Gehlot said that the party’s campaign would revolve around the government’s works, and that they will not pay attention to what BJP leaders say.
“In the elections, Prime Minister (Narendra Modi), (Union Home Minister) Amit Shah will come and take part in big road shows, spend money and do everything to win the elections but we have decided that we will move forward on the basis of the (state) government’s works,” he said.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made this statement in reference to the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, where he expressed his confidence in his government’s schemes and programs to win the elections. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are likely to participate in big road shows and spend money to win the elections, but the Congress party has decided to focus on the works of their government instead.
