Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma slammed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his lecture at Cambridge University, where he contended that an attack has been unleashed on the introductory structure of Indian republic. Addressing MBA scholars at Cambridge Judge Business School on the content of ‘ Learning to hear in the 21st Century ’, Rahul Gandhi said that opposition parties are under ‘ constant pressure ’ as multitudinous cases have been slighted on them by the BJP government.
In a series of tweets, Sarma came down heavily on Rahul Gandhi. Sarma twittered, “ First foreign agents target us! also our own target us on foreign land! Rahul Gandhi’s speech at Cambridge was nothing but a brazen-faced attempt to denigrate our country on foreign soil in the guise of targeting Adarniya PM Shri Narendra Modi ji”. “Rahul says the Indian republic is under trouble because he can not freely express himself. He travelled 4,000 km in his yatra incident-free under the protection handed by ModiGovt. Do we need to remind him how yatras led by BJP leaders were sabotaged when Cong was in power?. Rahul says Pegasus was set up on his phone and an “ officer ” advised him regarding it. He refused to submit his phone for disquisition when the Supreme Court asked for it. Following expansive disquisition, SC concluded that there was no substantiation of Pegasus,” said Sarma.
He further said, “Rahul says in Kashmir zealots saw him, but he knew they would n’t target him. Why was this not reported to security agencies? Was there some understanding Cong had with these zealots to cover Rahul?. Rahul described the Pulwama attack as an “auto lemon that killed 40 dogfaces”. How dare he affront our jawans? It was n’t a lemon joe, but a terror attack. No surprises that he refused to name Pakistan after the Pulwama attack. Is this part of the understanding Cong had with zealots?” “Bharat & her Mahajanapadas as a civilisation reality has been in actuality thousands of times before indeed Europe came to be a political reality, yet we’re modelled after them?” the Assam CM asked.
