According to recent news, the Bihar Ram Navami violence was a well-planned incident and the mastermind behind it was Kundan Kumar, the Bajrang Dal convener of Nalanda district. The police stated that the communal clashes were planned and executed through social media and a WhatsApp group with 456 members. Kundan Kumar was the admin of the WhatsApp group that was formed just before Ram Navami. The police also found that the group was being used to spread fake and misleading posts targeting a particular community and instigating people to spread fake videos against members of the other community on social media. A case was registered against 15 people in connection with the communal clashes, and five of them have been arrested, while two others, including Kundan Kumar, have surrendered.
According to the police, the Bajrang Dal leader Kundan Kumar and another admin of the WhatsApp group, Kishan Kumar, surrendered after the administration started to attach their properties. The police have stated that the violence during Ram Navami was pre-planned and that the group was used to spread fake and misleading posts targeting one community, as well as instigating people to spread fake videos against members of the other community on social media. The police have arrested five people in connection with the communal clashes in Nalanda, while two others, including Kundan Kumar, have surrendered. The investigation is ongoing to catch the remaining accused.
