For the third successive day, further Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) functionaries in Tamil Nadu, particularly from the IT sect, left the party. They’re most likely to join the AIADMK. As numerous as 13 functionaries from the IT and Social Media sect of the Chennai West quarter unit of the BJP led by chairman Orathi Anbarasu on Wednesday abnegated from their party posts. “We’ve decided to follow the path shown by our leader and former BJP State IT Wing Chief CTR Nirmal Kumar,” Orathi Anbarasu.
He added that their team felt at home when Nirmal Kumar was heading their sect but after he left, it had come uncomfortable for them to continue in the BJP. Kumar, who was among the first to quit the party, had cited his reasons condemning BJP’s TN unit principal K Annamalai. Kannan and three others, including a woman functionary of the BJP, followed suit and joined the AIAMK in presence of its interim principal Edappadi K Palaniswami, an AIADMK release had said. latterly, others from the IT Wing also abnegated. The party’s IT Wing quarter chairman Anbarasan, in a statement, as reported, wrote, “I’ve worked for BJP for times. People know I’ve noway anticipated any position. Considering the unusual script in the party for the once many days I’ve decided to abdicate from the party”.
BJP sports and skill development cell State chairman Amar Prasad Reddy replied to the adoptions in a tweet, saying, “AIADMK being an alliance mate should not have done this. BJP under the leadership of Thalaivar@annamalai_k will form government in Tamil Nadu”. The statement was inked by 13 people who defected from the BJP. Also, the sources reported that they’re likely to join the AIADMK. Before on Tuesday, BJP State principal K Annamalai claimed his party was growing in the State and this could be seen with the AIADMK admitting many BJP functionaries into that party.
