The Korean Cultural Centre India and the Sports Authority of India areco-hosting the All India Taekwondo Championship with Korean National Sport University in a festivity of 50 times of Korea and India political relations. Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur will be the principal guest for the event and the President of Korea National Sports University Yong- gyu Ahn will be the Guest of Honour.
This time, the All- India Taekwondo Crowns between the two countries will be held for three days from February 24- 26 at the KD Jadhav Inner Wrestling Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi. The event is listed to start from 10.30 am hereafter. This Taekwondo crown has been planned to commemorate 50 times of political ties between Korea and India and to revitalize Taekwondo that has been stagnant since the epidemic. It also aims to lay the foundation for the future as a major sports event between the two countries.
The form will correspond to MOU subscribing in the field of sports exchange between the two countries and special performances, Korean cotillion (traditional, ultramodern, practical), Taekwondo demonstration, and K- pop cover cotillion by performance brigades from Korea National Sport University. Hwang Il Yong, director of Korean Cultural Centre India said, “This Taekwondo Championship event and the signing of a scowl between universities representing the two countries are anticipated to be a significant corner in sports exchanges between Korea and India.
Starting with the selection of Taekwondo as a course at Miranda House as the heart of Indian top intellectualists and women and education, it’s hoped that the subject of Taekwondo will gradually spread throughout the educational sector in India as a regular subject and course”. Korean Cultural Centre India recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of political ties between South Korea and India. The artistic event commemorating India’s 74th Republic Day and Korea’s New Year’s Day, Seoul was celebrated on January 22.
