Delhi Woman was dragged for 1-2 kilometres by a car and died. The Delhi Police continues its investigation in this Sultanpuri accident. The incident that took place on January 1 when the whole country was celebrating New Year. The FIR has confirmed that the people who were in the car were aware that they had hit a woman. Inspite of knowing that they hit someone they still didn’t stop. The FIR also confirms the fact that two out of the five accused, namely Deepak and Amit, were drunk when the incident took place. A 23-year-old young woman was dragged by a car for a few kilometers in the city. The woman was on her way to home. She was dragged by a car from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala. She was dragged for about 12 kilometres in Delhi after the scooter she was riding on collided with the car.
After the incident took place, the Delhi Police tried to trace the car and started an investigation in this case. They located the owner of the car and arrested five people who were involved in this incident. The arrested accused have been identified as Deepak Khanna (26), Amit Khanna (25), Krishan (27), Mithun (26) and Manoj Mittal (27). On Monday, the court granted Delhi Police three-day custody of the five men. Delhi Police has received an order of Three-day custody for the accused five men. As per the FIR, the accused men ran away from the spot as they were aware that they hit the girl on a scooty. The FIR further states that the car was being driven by Deepak, who was in a drunk state.
Forensic experts Monday conducted post-mortem of the Delhi woman whose body was dragged for nearly 12 kilometres under a car after it hit her scooter in outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri, police sources said. The autopsy was conducted under the supervision of a medical board at the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC).
