Following the IPL final against the Gujarat Titans, Dhoni traveled to Mumbai from Ahmedabad and consulted Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, a renowned sports orthopaedic surgeon who is also part of the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s medical panel. Dr. Pardiwala has previously performed surgeries on several top Indian cricketers, including Rishabh Pant. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed that Dhoni had undergone a successful knee surgery at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Although the details of the surgery are yet to be revealed, Dhoni is said to be in good condition and is expected to be discharged in the next couple of days.
After his discharge, Dhoni will embark on an extensive rehabilitation program to regain his fitness. The recovery period will provide him with ample time to prepare for the next edition of the IPL.
