Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the pollution in the state of Uttar Pradesh and promised that the public would soon end it. Speaking at a tribute meeting for late former SP district president Babulal Yadav in Deoria, Akhilesh Yadav criticized Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for not taking any measures to clean the garbage and drains in the state, despite collecting house tax. He claimed that the public would soon travel in a boat since drains have not been cleaned, and roads are littered with garbage. He further mentioned that a coalition front is being formed to fight against the BJP in the upcoming elections.
Yadav also criticized the Chief Minister’s comments on the mafia in the state and mentioned that he should not speak about the issue, as his list of charges would have been more if he had not removed the cases against him.
This comes ahead of the municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh, where Yadav took a dig at the BJP earlier this week over the “problems in cities” and said the party did not make them “smart” despite having its mayors and instead “opened drains”.
