Raghav Chadha, an Aam Aadmi Party leader, has called Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal “Lord Krishna” and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) “Kansa” as Kejriwal appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning in connection with the excise policy case. Chadha drew the analogy from Hindu mythology, where Kansa was a villainous king who tried to harm Lord Krishna, but failed. Similarly, Chadha believes the BJP is trying to harm Kejriwal, but will not succeed. Kejriwal was accompanied by his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Maan, Delhi ministers, and AAP MPs to the CBI office. Chadha made the remarks ahead of Kejriwal’s questioning by the CBI.Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, a key aide of Mr Kejriwal, is in jail over alleged irregularities in the excise case.
Mr Sisodia was arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED) and CBI in the ongoing investigation of a case related to alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the excise policy in Delhi. It’s important to note that everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and the allegations against Mr. Sisodia are still being investigated. It is the duty of law enforcement agencies to carry out investigations and bring to justice anyone who is found to have engaged in illegal activities. We will have to wait for the investigation to conclude and for the court to make a ruling on the matter before we can say anything more definitive about the situation. It seems that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have made serious allegations against Mr Manish Sisodia, accusing him of involvement in irregularities related to the excise policy in Delhi. According to the ED and CBI, there were irregularities committed during the modification of the excise policy, such as undue favours being extended to licence holders, waiving or reducing the licence fee, and extending the L-1 licence without the approval of the competent authority. These allegations are currently under investigation.
