A 42-year-old real estate agent and BJP functionary named Senthil Kumaran was killed in Puducherry on Sunday evening. The police have registered a murder case at the Villianur police station. The incident was captured on CCTV footage, which shows two men arriving on a motorcycle and throwing crude bombs at Kumaran before attacking him with a sharp-edged weapon. Police are investigating the case, and so far, no suspects have been identified.
While Kumaran was the in-charge of the Mangalam constituency for the BJP, the media convenor of the party’s Puducherry unit has said that his killing is not related to politics or the party. Kumaran was also running his real estate business and was an active member of the BJP.
