The Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress party has been receiving praises from all quarters – from the general public, and political personalities to eminent actors and even intellectuals. The Ratra has been going on for a while now. Even politicians from other parties have been unanimous in their appreciation of the efforts by Rahul Gandhi and his team, who are currently making their way from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on a foot march. Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who himself switched allegiance from the Congress to the All India Trinamool Congress, has been full of praise for Rahul Gandhi and the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The 76-year-old termed the march “revolutionary”, commending the initiative and the effort put in by the Congress leader. He said that Rahul Gandhi’s personality has become a symbol of wisdom for youth.
This, coming from a veteran politician like Shatrughan Sinha, indeed seemed to take many by surprise. His compliments, however, didn’t end there. According to Shatrughan Sinha, an astute politician himself, Rahul Gandhi can become the prime minister of the country. While the coming years will tell us whether this statement actually holds true, it surely is positive news for the Congress party. The Ratra will end once it reaches Kashmir.
