Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces have fired tear gas at mourners at the Nablus burial for one of the six Palestinian men killed in an Israeli raid on Tuesday in Jenin. The fighter had been a member of Hamas, and had the Palestinian group’s flag draped around him during the burial on Wednesday, which led to a disagreement with the Palestinian Authority, which is dominated by Hamas’ rival, Fatah. The metropolises and municipalities of the West Bank have witnessed a general strike in kick against the Israeli occupation crimes and mourning on the souls of the killers, who was killed by the Israeli occupation in Jenin megacity and its camp.
News agency Wafa, said Wednesday that the strike, which was organized by the Palestinian public powers, included all walks of life, as the marketable requests and private institutions closed their doors and the business stopped amid calls to hold demonstrations in commination of the occupation’s butcheries against the Palestinians and to confirm continued struggle. On Tuesday, the Israeli occupation executed a butchery in Jenin megacity and its camp, killing six Palestinians and injuring scores others. The Israeli army said it suspects that Kharousheh carried out the drive-by shooting attack in the city of Huwara near Nablus that killed two Israeli settlers on February 26.
Soon after the burial began, dozens of PA security forces descended onto the thoroughfares and suppressed the procession by firing tear gas at mourners, and tried to block the march with their vehicles. Original reports said the body of Kharousheh was dropped to the ground during the incident. The fellow of the common Palestinian coalitions’ collaboration commission in Nablus, Nasr Abu Jaish, blazoned his abdication on Facebook in response to the PA’s conduct. Hamas said in statement that the attack on the procession was a “crime and a serious violation of all public and religious values”, and called “for the discipline of those involved”. “The scene of fatality Kharousheh’s body falling in Nablus brings back the memory of the fatality Shireen Abu Akleh’s fall at the hands of the occupation forces during her burial in Jerusalem,” the statement continued, in reference to an attack by Israeli forces.
