The Election Commission of India blazoned the assembly choices in Tripura on Wednesday. According to the schedule issued by the Election Commission, choices will be held then on February 16 and the counting of votes will take place on March 2. There will be a aggregate of,328 polling stations across the state during the election. At present, there’s a BJP government in the state. The assembly session of Tripura is going to end on March 22 this time.
The Trinamool Congress is also trying to establish itself in the Tripura assembly choices to be held in 2023.
TMC principal and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has visited Tripura and she may go to Tripura again once the election crusade picks up.
In this assembly choices, the ruling BJP may have a triangular contest with the Left- Congress alliance and the Trinamool Congress. The BJP has 34 MLAs in the 60- member assembly, while its supporter IPFT has five.
It’s believed that the Bhartiya Janata Party will continue its alliance with the ethnical- grounded party IPFT.
The Legislative Assembly of Tripura has 60 members. In 2018, the BJP in alliance with the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) ended the 25- time-long Left government rule in the state by securing a two- thirds maturity.
During this, BJP won 35 seats, Communist Party of India (Marxist) 16 and IPFT won 8. Congress couldn’t succeed in winning indeed a single seat in this election.
