On Saturday, before the fourth Test match against Australia, Virat Kohli, the cricketer, and his wife Anushka Sharma paid a visit to the famed Baba Mahakaleshwar Temple located in the Ujjain quarter of Madhya Pradesh. During their visit, Anushka and Virat took part in the ‘ Bhasma Aarti, ’ a well-known ritual at the temple, which is conducted during the Brahma Muhurta, between 4 and 5.30 in the morning, where ashes are offered as a form of deification.
A videotape that is presently doing the rounds on social media shows the power couple sitting in the temple along with other pilgrims. Sharma is seen sporting a light pink sari and a demure, no-makeup look, while Kohli is seen in a white ensemble. The brace visited the tabernacle on Saturday (March 4), a day after the third Test match between India and Australia. The filmland of the couple’s visit, especially the brace sitting outside the sanctum sanctorum, have gone viral on the internet. The couple, who’s known to be religious enough, was also seen visiting passage spots like Rishikesh and Vrindavan along with their son Vamika before.
In Vrindavan, they were seen visiting the vihara of the popular spiritual practitioner Baba Neem Karoli, while at Rishikesh, they paid a visit to Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaja’s samadhi or grave. Australia dominated the Test match and beat India by 9 wickets at the Holkar Stadium on Friday, March 3. On the work front, Anushka was last seen in the 2018 film ‘ Zero ’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She also had a gem in the Netflix movie ‘ Qala ’. The ‘ Band Baaja Baaraat ’ star is set to make her comeback with the sports drama ‘ Chakda XPress ’. This will also be a biopic of Indian pace- bowler Jhulan Goswami. The film will be produced by Sharma’s family Karnesh and released under their home banner, Clean Slate flicks. “ We came then to offer prayers and had a good’ darshan’ at Mahakaleshwar tabernacle, ” Anushka Sharma said.
