Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has expressed his frustration with commentators repeatedly asking MS Dhoni about his retirement plans from cricket. Sehwag believes that even if it is Dhoni’s final year, the decision should be left up to the player and they will let the public know when they are ready. Sehwag made these comments after Dhoni was asked about his retirement plans by commentator Danny Morrison before a match against Lucknow Super Giants. Dhoni avoided the question by stating that it was something the experts were saying and not him.
Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings ended in a no-result due to rain. The rain caused the match to be called off after only 19.2 overs of the CSK innings, during which the team had made 125 for seven. The LSG team’s Ayush Badoni was the only player to stand out, scoring an unbeaten 59 off 33 balls.
The game started 15 minutes late due to a wet outfield and was then interrupted by rain during the final over of the first innings. The play was halted for the rest of the match due to persistent rain, resulting in the teams splitting points. The Chennai Super Kings’ Moeen Ali and Maheesh Theekshana were praised for their impressive performances in making early inroads into the LSG team’s batting lineup.
MS Dhoni is a former captain of the Indian national cricket team and is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricket players of all time. He has played for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League since 2008 and has led the team to three IPL titles. Despite his age, Dhoni is still a valuable player and a crucial member of the Chennai Super Kings team.
