Two rockets were fired from Gaza early Friday and Israel responded with airstrikes on the home, father raising pressures. Israeli forces on Thursday killed nine Palestinians — including at least seven zealots and a 61- year-old woman — in the deadliest single incident in the enthralled West Bank in two decades, Palestinian officers said. The Israeli service said both rockets were intercepted by its Iron Dome bullet defense system. It was the first similar attack from the militant Hamas- ruled home since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returned to power at the head of a far-right government that has pledged a tough line against Palestinian bellicosity.
There were no immediate reports of casualties from the Israeli airstrikes. The Al- Zaitoun neighbourhood in the south of Gaza megacity was also hit, as well as an open area east of Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza. Substantiations and original media reported that Israeli drones fired two dumdums at targets in Gaza before the fighter spurts struck. There were no immediate reports of casualties, and “conservative calm” had returned to Gaza by the morning, said Al Jazeera pressman Maram Humaid. Air raid enchantresses had sounded in southern Israel as the original two rockets were fired and also again after the Israeli air attacks.
The Israeli army said the rockets were intercepted by Israel’s air defence system and the country’s Channel 12 vented footage of Israeli interceptor dumdums being launched into the night sky above the megacity of Ashkelon, about 12 km north of Gaza. No group has claimed responsibility for the rocket, reportedly the first fired in a month, which the Israeli service said landed in an open area near Israel’s separation hedge on Saturday evening without causing casualties or damage to property. The Palestinian foreign ministry condemned the firing of Mufleh as tantamount to a prosecution, and Palestinian activists and social media addicts are using the hashtag “Huwara prosecution” in Arabic, calling for a response to crimes by Israeli forces.
