Narendra Modi Held a RoadShow in Meghalaya’s Capital Shillong

Ahead of forthcoming state assembly  elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Meghalaya and take part in a road show in Shillong on Friday. The roadshow will be conducted from the Central Library to the Police Bazar. He’s also listed to address a public meeting after the roadshow. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a massive roadshow in bean-bound Meghalaya ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.

An ocean of crowd revealed out on both sides of the road to hail the PM as he gestured to the crowd. He’ll address a rally in Tura  shortly.  The crowd chanted ‘Modi- Modi’ in excitement as the PM’s convoy passed through the thoroughfares of Shillong. With Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) flags in hand,  sympathizers waited on the road for hours just to catch a glimpse of the PM. Further than 1,000 security labor forces including Meghalaya Police and Central Armed Police Forces have been stationed in the route of the roadshow and Police Bazar point in Shillong.

PM Modi will pay flowers to three freedom fighters of the state- U Tirot Sing, U Kiang Nangbah and Pa Togan Sangma in Shillong. “Special security arrangements have been made in Shillong for the Prime Minister, further than 1000 security labor forces have been stationed in the megacity,” Assistant Superintendent of Police, Shillong Pawar Swapnil Vasantrao told. Later on Friday, PM Modi will address an election  crusade rally at Alegre Stadium in Tura in Garo Hills. Material to mention, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had  before sought  authorization for the Prime Minister’s rally at PA Sangma Stadium in Tura.

BJP  contended that authorization to hold the rally at PA Sangma Stadium was denied by the National People’s Party (NPP) government, citing the colosseum was still under construction. The Meghalaya assembly  elections will be held on February 27 and the counting of votes will take place on March 2.
