Director SS Rajamouli has said that he made RRR substantially for Indians- people living in the country and the diaspora. But since its release, the movie- which features Telugu- language stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR, and tells the fictional story of two real- life Indian revolutionaries fighting against British rule- has pushed numerous boundaries.
RRR has had a tremendous run at the recent Hollywood awards, winning the Golden Globe and Critics Choice awards for Naatu Naatu in the Stylish Original Song order, alongside being nominated for a host of other awards in the Best International Film order. Ahead of the 95th Academy Awards nominations that will be declared on January 24, RRR is also looking forward to being considered in a number of categories including Stylish Original Song. Now, a prominent American magazine has named actor Jr NTR as one of the frontrunners in the Best Actor category Hollywood actor Jane Fonda poured praise on SS Rajamouli’s RRR, but called it a Bollywood film in her social media post. Followers were quick to notice it and corrected her saying ‘ Bollywood refers to Hindi language pictures ’.
